چکیده

Background: The objective was to study functional results of fixation intertrochanteric fractures femur using enders nail and cannulated cancellous screws.

Methods: This a prospective observational study. conducted on 30 patients femoral who underwent by nailing screws in Department Orthopaedics, GMCH, Aurangabad from January 2018 2021. Patients were assessed functionally Harris hip score, visual analogue radiological assessment at 3, 6, 12 months.

Results: All showed union within 3 months. Functional done with Visual scale (VAS) which mean VAS score 0.9 (range 0-3), 86 81-90). One patient developed superficial infection incision site treated giving appropriate antibiotics one complained prominent medial side knee implant removal after fracture.

Conclusions: Fixation achieves good stability minimal complications improved patients’ outcome terms less intraoperative blood loss, chances infection, operative time morbidity outcome.

Clinical Results of Percutaneous Fixation of Pelvic and Acetabular Fractures: A Minimally Invasive Internal Fixation Technique

Background: The pelvic ring fractures (PRF) and acetabular fractures (AF) are among the major orthopedic injuriesassociated with high rates of morbidity and mortality. Open surgical stabilization is the standard treatment for themajority of these complications. Percutaneous minimally invasive surgical stabilization of the fractures has become anaccepted treatment method for th...

Comparing Therapeutic Outcomes of Dynamic Hip Screw and Multiple Cannulated Screws as Internal Fixation in Femoral Neck Fractures

Background and purpose: Femoral neck fracture is associated with a high rate of side effects, especially in young people, who are usually affected by severe energy shocks. Results after injury depend on some factors, including displacement, fragility, bleeding rate, proper placement, and stable and strong fixation. The aim of this study was to compare dynamic hip screw (DHS) or multiple cannula...

Internal Fixation of Transverse Patella Fractures Using Cannulated Cancellous Screws with Anterior Tension Band Wiring

Aims: To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of anterior tension band wiring technique using two cannulated cancellous screws in patients with transverse (AO34-C1) or transverse with mildly comminuted (AO34-C2) patellar fractures. Materials and Methods: This is a prospective study of 25 patients with transverse fracture or transverse fracture with mildly comminuted patella fractures. All the ...

Cannulated versus non-cannulated cancellous screw fixation for femoral neck fractures: a synthetic bone biomechanical study

Purpose. To compare the compressive strength of cannulated versus non-cannulated cancellous screws for undisplaced femoral neck fractures in synthetic bones. Methods. 18 synthetic proximal femurs simulating an AO B1 valgus impacted femoral neck fracture in osteoporotic bone were used. The fracture angles were between 55o and 63o (Pauwels grade 2). Fixation was made using 6.5-mm non-cannulated s...

Fixation using cannulated screws and fibular strut grafts for fresh femoral neck fractures with posterior comminution.

PURPOSE To evaluate the use of fibular grafting for fresh femoral neck fractures with posterior comminution. METHODS 18 women and 15 men aged 20 to 60 years underwent osteosynthesis and fibular strut grafting supplemented with 7.0-mm cannulated hip screws for Garden grades III (n=21) and IV (n=12) femoral neck fractures associated with posterior comminution. All fractures were reduced by clos...
